Polarspun Scarf
Lion Brand® PolarSpun
GAUGE: 9 sts + 18 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: Large Bobble (LB)
Row 1 [K 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1] in 1 st.
Rows 2-6 Knit.
Row 7 K across, insert tip of left needle into second st from end
and pass over last st 4 times.
Small Bobble (SB)
Row 1 [K 1, p 1, k 1] in 1 st.
Rows 2-4 Knit.
Row 5 K across, insert tip of left needle into second st from end
and pass over last st twice.

NOTES: Scarf is worked with 2 strands held together throughout.

SCARF
Cast on 12 sts.
Work 3" in Garter St. Mark right side.
*Row 1 K 3, LB, k 1, LB, k 6.
Row 2 Knit.
Row 3 K 2, LB, k 1, SB, k 1, LB, k 5.
Row 4 Knit.
Row 5 K 3, LB, k 1, LB, k 6**.
Work even in Garter St for 9", ending with a WS row.
Row 1 K 6, LB, k 1, LB, k 3.
Row 2 Knit.
Row 3 K 5, LB, k 1, SB, k 1, LB, k 2.
Row 4 Knit.
Row 5 K 6, LB, k 1, LB, k 3.
Work even in Garter St for 9", ending with a WS row.
Repeat from * once, then work from * to ** once. Work 3" in Garter St. Bind off all sts. Weave in ends.
