Lion Brand® PolarSpun
GAUGE: 14.5 sts = 4" (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

HAT
Cast on 58 sts.
Row 1 *K 1, p 1; repeat from * across.
Repeat Row 1 for pattern until piece measures 8" from beginning. Bind off all sts.
FINISHING
Sew back seam. Place 4 stitch markers evenly spaced around top of hat. Join marked points at center and sew four seams closed.
