Bi-Color Scarf
Lion Brand® Mystery®
GAUGE: 8 stitches + 18 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in Stripe Pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: STRIPE PATTERN With A, knit 6 rows. Change to B and knit 2 rows, purl 1 row, then knit 1 row. Repeat these 10 rows for Stripe Pattern.
|
NOTES: When changing from A to B, it is not necessary to cut yarn. Simply carry strand loosely up side of work.
|
|
SCARF With A, cast on 15 stitches. Work in Stripe Pattern until piece measures 35 inches [89 cm] from beginning, ending with a stripe in A. Bind off loosely. Weave in ends.FRINGE Cut 28 strands, each 8" [20.5 cm] long, of B. Using 2 strands per fringe, fold in half to form a loop. Insert crochet hook into edge of Scarf and draw loop through. Draw ends of fringe through loop and tighten. Work evenly across short ends of Scarf.

| Bi-Color Scarf Reviewed by BARBARA WEISS on 2009-11-08 |

| I enjoyed creating this exact color scheme I do not have capability to send photo by computer - I enjoyed carrying the yarn uncut - was not sure how to duplicate the look on opposite side. I get so many compliments when I wear this. I did not know the yarn was still available. Thanks for your pattern suggestions and web page. B.Weiss, Costa Mesa, CA
