GAUGE:

20 sts + 30 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

RIGHT FRONT
With A, cast on 46 (50, 60) sts. Work in St st for 5 rows for facing. Knit next row on WS for foldline. Cont in St st in Stripe Pattern until 34 (35, 36) stripes have been completed. Shape neck Cont in Stripe Pattern, bind off at neck edge at beg of every other row: 10 sts once, 5 (5, 10) sts once, 5 (5, 6) sts once. Cont in Stripe Pattern until 38 (39, 40) stripes have been completed. Bind off rem 26 (30, 34) sts.

LEFT FRONT
Work to correspond to Right Front in Stripe Pattern, rev shaping.

RIGHT BACK
With C only, work same as Left Front.

LEFT BACK
With A only, work same as Right Front.

RIGHT SLEEVE
With B, cast on 52 (56, 60) sts. Work in St st for 5 rows for facing. Knit next row on WS for foldline. Cont in St st with fuchsia only, inc 1 st at each edge every 8 rows 18 times - 88 (92, 96) sts. Cont until Sleeve measures 18 (18¾, 20) inches from beg. Bind off.

LEFT SLEEVE
With F only, work same as Right Sleeve.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder, side and Sleeve seams. Sew in Sleeves.

Right Back Button Band With RS facing and C, pick up and k 82 (88, 92) sts evenly along Right Back opening edge. Work in k 2, p 2 rib for 8 rows. Bind off loosely in rib.
Left Front Button Band With A, work same as Right Back Button Band, picking up sts along Left Front opening edge.
Left Back Buttonhole Band With RS facing and A, pick up and k 82 (88, 92) sts evenly along Left Back opening edge. Work in k 2, p 2 rib for 8 rows, working 8 buttonholes (buttonhole = bind off 3 sts; on next row, cast on 3 sts over bound-off sts) evenly spaced on the 4th row with the first one 6 sts above bottom edge and the last one 6 sts below neck edge.
Right Front Buttonhole Band With A, work same as Left Back Buttonhole Band, picking up sts along Right Front opening edge. Sew buttons opposite buttonholes.
Right Front/Right Back Facing With RS facing and C, beg inside Right Front Buttonhole band, pick up and k 50 sts evenly along neck edge of Right Front and Right Back. Work in St st for 8 rows for facing. Bind off.
Left Front/Left Back Facing Work same as Right Front/Right Back Facing picking up sts along Left/Left Back neck edge. Turn all facings to WS and sew in place.
