Poncho
Lion Brand® Moonlight Mohair
GAUGE: 7 stitches plus 9 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in stockinette stitch
(knit on right side, purl on wrong side). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

PONCHO Cast on 38 stitches and work even in stockinette stitch for 45-inches. Bind off all stitches loosely. FINISHING Fold piece in half widthwise (22 inches x 22½ inches). Sew 12-inch seam along top of one long side of piece, from end toward fold, leaving remainder of edge open to form neck opening of poncho. FRINGE Cut strands of yarn, each approximately 18½ inches long. Attach on one side of poncho (along cast on and bound off edges of piece) approximately 1½ inches apart.

| I used a different brand of mohair from my yarn stash and had to make myself finish this--just didn't think it could possibly turn out to be nice; and I needed a quick gift for a friend. Once I finished it and added the fringe, it really is beautiful! Next time, I'm going to try adding a strand of fingering yarn (from my stash again) to make the color more interesting and add just a little more weight. Will definitely make this again. Thank you.
