Clever Stripes Scarf
Lion Brand® Lion® Wool - TiffanyTM
GAUGE: 16 stitches + 20 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with A, before felting. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Scarf will shrink during felting process.

SCARF
Cast on 35 stitches. Work in Stockinette stitch, working stripe pattern as
follows:
Rows 1-22 With A, work 22 rows.
Rows 23-40 With A and B held together, work 18 rows.
Rows 41-55 With A, work 15 rows.
Rows 56-63 With A and B held together, work 8 rows.
Rows 64-68 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 69 and 70 With A and B held together, work 2 rows.
Rows 71-75 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 76-79 With A and B held together, work 4 rows.
Rows 80-84 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 85 and 86 With A and B held together, work 2 rows.
Rows 87-106 With A, work 20 rows.
Rows 107-112 With A and B held together, work 6 rows.
Rows 113-132 With A, work 20 rows.
Rows 133-135 With A and B held together, work 3 rows.
Rows 136-143 With A, work 8 rows.
Rows 144-153 With A and B held together, work 10 rows.
Rows 154-161 With A, work 8 rows.
Rows 162 and 163 With A and B held together, work 2 rows.
Rows 164-168 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 169-174 With A and B held together, work 6 rows.
Rows 175-188 With A, work 14 rows.
Rows 189-203 With A and B held together, work 15 rows.
Rows 204-207 With A, work 4 rows.
Rows 208-222 With A and B held together, work 15 rows.
Rows 223-228 With A, work 6 rows.
Rows 229 and 230 With A and B held together, work 2 rows.
Rows 231-240 With A, work 10 rows.
Rows 241-252 With A and B held together, work 12 rows.
Rows 253-262 With A, work 10 rows.
Rows 263-268 With A and B held together, work 6 rows.
Rows 269-273 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 274 and 275 With A and B held together, work 2 rows.
Rows 276-280 With A, work 5 rows.
Rows 281-290 With A and B held together, work 10 rows.
Bind off loosely. Weave in ends.
FELTING
Wash by machine on a hot wash/cold rinse cycle with detergent and several
pieces of clothing to agitate. To felt additionally, dry by machine on a regular
setting until almost dry. Remove from dryer and pull into shape. Allow to dry

| This scarf was my second ever knitting project (and happy to say that I am hooked and have done many more!) and received many complements on it. My sister-in-law and my mother-in-law each want one in their favorite colors. It's very toasty warm and the Tiffany yarn gives it a silky softness. I was very pleased.
