GAUGE: 12 sts + 19 rows = 4 [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with A on largest needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | All pieces are worked with largest needles unless otherwise noted.

| Baby Animal 'Froggy' Hat Reviewed by Stacy Foote on 2012-01-23 |

| This is a really fun pattern! I made two of these over the weekend for a girlfriend's two young sons. I'm going to surprise her with them the next time I see her. I was suprised how easily they came together. I made mine a bit differently. I used all green yarn for the hat and I used black yarn for the eyes and mouth. Still very cute. I did not add the tongue. I still might - not sure yet, but the hats were very easy and very fun to make. This is a great project for someone who'd like to see quick results.
