BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
A circular needles used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Stitches are worked back and forth in rows.

SCARF
With A, cast on 139 sts loosely. Work in Garter st (knit every row) in stripe sequence as follows: 3 rows A, 3 rows using 1 strand each of B and C held tog, 3 rows using 1 strand each
of C and D held tog, 4 rows E, 3 rows using 1 strand each of F and G held tog, 3 rows E, 1 row using 1 strand each of B and C held tog, 2 rows A. Bind off loosely with A.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
Cut 9" [23 cm] lengths of assorted yarns to use as fringe. For each fringe, hold 6 strands tog. Fold strands in half and, with crochet hook, pull fold through Scarf, forming a
loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Attach fringes evenly across each short end of Scarf.

This scarf was SO MUCH FUN to make & very easy!! It turned out perfect...I'm starting my Christmas present making with this pattern!! Can't wait to make more. I wish Lion Brand would sell more colorways (hint, hint!!).
