GAUGE:

9 sts = 4 inches in k1, p1 rib with assorted yarns BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

A circular needles is used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Stitches are worked back and forth in rows.

Editor’s Note: When creating fringe using Homespun please note that because of the texture of the yarn the fringe will fray when cut. If you prefer a non-frayed look you can knot the ends, knit or crochet a fringe, or use hairspray or fray check.

SCARF

With A, cast on 151 sts loosely. Work in K1, P1 Rib in stripe sequence as follows: 2 rows A, 2 rows G, 1 row A, 1 row using 1 strand each of C and D held tog, 2 rows A, 3 rows B, 2 rows E, 1 row A, 2 rows F, 2 rows A.

Bind off loosely with B.

Weave in ends.
