| Sometime called a 'moibus' or even 'moibuis' scarf, this clever scarf is twisted in the middle in the same manner that a 'Moebius' strip is. No matter how you spell it, it is beautiful item! |

GAUGE: 11 stitches + 14 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) using size 13 (9 mm) knitting needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| My great-grandmother taught me to Crochet. I finally taught myself how to do simple knitting so that I could make my dog sweaters. Never completed a project, of course. Been really frustrated because I could never decide how I wanted to hold my yarn (Continental or English), my hands & wrists would hurt, never could get the tension right, etc. Picked up a really pretty yarn, saw the pattern and decided to try to make this scarf. All I can say is this. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. VERY EASY to make and it allows you to get used to the Garter & Stockinette stitches. It has helped me in getting the correct tensions and it is almost like practice, but you are REALLY making something. GREAT project for beginners in helping them gain their confidence in knitting. I already know for next year, this is what I am making my closest girlfriends for X-mas. Will send pictures when I complete my first one.
