GAUGE:

13 sts = 4" When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Back Scrubber Reviewed by Kathleen Chapman on 2009-05-27 ***
I was very determined to knit this pattern.Read the instructions SERVERAL times, and I DID IT!I used 100% mercerized cotton and prefer circular needle. The pattern came out really well. I learn visually, handicapped by dyslexia, so I wish the photo was larger,so I could see how the finished product SHOULD look! A couple of finishing instructions (handles)not clear, but I have a BACK SCRUBBER! Have started making them as Christmas presents and will couple with jar of homemade sugar scrubs...
