Simple Knitted Cap
Lion Brand® Jiffy®
GAUGE: 13 sts + 19 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in St st (k every round) with
larger needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Very good hat for circular needles for beginner Reviewed by Ana M. Perez on 2012-02-12 |
     |
| This pattern was the first pattern I used to use circular needles and double-pointed needles. I casted 66 stiches on the double-pointed first then switched to Denise interchangeable circular needles. The second time I casted very loosely. It was very tight to work with but as the ribbing rows were completed it got easier. I used Stitch & Bitch Knitting book for help on starting this project. I ended up with a very beautiful hat for my daughter. I learned that knitting in the round gives you stockinette stitch. This was a very straight forward pattern and simple for a beginner like me. I skipped the pom pom. Knitting a second one with 100% wool worsted yarn.
