GAUGE:

14 sts = 4 inches (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Hourglass Eyelets (multiple of 6 + 1)

Rows 2 & 8 K 1, *p 5, k 1, rep from *.

Row 3 K 1, *yo, slip1-k1-psso, p 1, k2tog, yo, k 1, rep from *.

Rows 4 & 6 K 1, p 2, *k 1, p 5, rep from * end k 1, p 2, k 1.

Row 5 K 3, *p 1, k 5, rep from * end p 1 , k 3.

Row 7 K 1, *k2tog, yo, k 1, yo, slip1-k1-psso, p 1, rep from * end last rep k 1 instead of p 1.

BLANKET
Cast on 123 sts. Work in Seed St for 10 rows for border.

Pattern: Row 1 (RS) Work 7 sts in Seed St, place marker, work Row 1 of Hourglass Pattern over center 109 sts, place marker, work 7 sts in Seed St. Continue as established working first 7 and last 7 sts in Seed St and Hourglass Pattern over center 109 sts until throw measures approximately 40 inches from beg, ending on WS with Hourglass Pattern Row 8. Work in Seed St for 10 rows for border. Bind off to gauge.

I have knitted several of these blankets in various colors and find it easy to knit and beautiful when completed. I would recommend buying an eighth ball of yarn as the last time I knitted this in Daytona, I ran out of yarn near the end and I could not find the same dyelot.
