Case For Eye Glasses with Cord
Lion Brand® Incredible® - Lion® Suede
GAUGE: 12 sts + 20 rnds = 4 inches [10 cm] in Garter st (knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd) with A.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

CASE
With A, cast on 24 sts. Divide sts evenly between 3 needles and join, being careful not to twist. Work in Garter st until piece measures 7 inches [18 cm]. Bind off. Weave in ends.
FRINGE
Cut several 5 inches [12.5 cm] strands of B. Use 1 strand for each fringe. Fold strand in half, insert crochet hook through front and back of Case at bottom edge and draw loop through. Draw
ends of fringe through loop and tighten. Work evenly across bottom edge of Case to close.
TOP TRIM
Fold top edge of Case over 1" [2.5 cm]. With B, stitch in place.
CORD
Cut 2 strands of B and 1 strand of A approximately 1.5 times the desired finished length of Cord. Tie knot in top, leaving yarn above knot for fringe. Braid to desired length, tie
another knot, and trim fringe below knot to match fringe length at beginning of Cord. Pull Cord through sides of Case and double-knot over existing knot to keep Cord from pulling back
through Case. |

| I just made 4/5 of these for an auction and they went over BIG!! However I called them (and used them for) a cell phone case! Works gr8 for this! Simple, clear concise, easy pattern. I used the crochet, instead of knit!
