Ribbon Poncho
Lion Brand® Incredible®
GAUGE: 9 stitches + 12 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

PONCHO
Cast on 40 stitches.
Work in garter stitch until piece measures 48 inches.
Bind off and weave in ends.
FINISHING
Fold piece in half widthwise (18 inches x 24 inches). Sew 10 inches seam along top of one long side of piece from end toward fold, leaving remainder of edge open to form neck opening of Poncho.
FRINGE
Cut 27 pieces of ribbon, each 24 inches long. Starting at bottom corner, slip a piece of ribbon through corner stitch and tie with a square knot. Repeat this every 3rd stitch up
short end of knitted piece (18 inches side), placing 13 pieces of ribbon on front, 13 pieces on back and one at the seam. Make sure to vary lengths so that fringe is uneven (between 11 inches-13 inches
long).

| I made this out of Homespun and I love it! I left off the tassles and made the neck hole slightly smaller so one side rests against my neck.
