GAUGE:

12 sts + 16 rows = 4inches (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) on larger needles. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Bend it like Baby Soccer Set Reviewed by Patti Carper on 2008-09-05 *****
I knitted the sweater and hat for a great niece... It was just darling… Sorry I did not take pictures before I gave it to her... I don't know if the baby colors are still available, but any Homespun light colors can be used... Hat pattern is great alone using just one color for a basic hat pattern…
