GAUGE:

12 sts + 16 rows = 4inches (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) on larger needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Bend it like Baby Soccer Set Reviewed by Patti Carper on 2008-09-05 *****
I knitted the sweater and hat for a great niece... It was just darling… Sorry I did not take pictures before I gave it to her... I don't know if the baby colors are still available, but any Homespun light colors can be used... Hat pattern is great alone using just one color for a basic hat pattern…
