Windowpane Throw

Lion Brand® Homespun®

12 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch (knit every row) using Size 11 needles. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Windowpane Throw Reviewed by Tabitha Fallstead on 2015-07-04 *****
This is a wonderful first project and portable project because it only uses one stitch! I did have to buy another skein of each color but I may have knitted too loosely at first. The yarn was a little difficult at first because I had to rip out stitches while I learned the stitch and it frays very easily. I tied off all of the loose ends just to make sure it didn't fray.

It turned out very lovely!
