GAUGE:

14 sts + 20 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in reverse St st (p on RS, k on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

The Back and Front are worked sideways. Sideways knits have a general tendency to stretch lengthwise. Finished length after hanging will be approximately 25 percent longer than just-finished piece laid flat.

Before beginning pattern, circle all numbers pertaining to your size for ease in working.
