GAUGE:
8 sts = 4" [10 cm].
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
Sl 2 kwise-k1-p2sso Slip 2 stitches together knitwise (as though to knit), knit 1, pass 2 slipped stitches over the knit stitch = centered double decrease.
NOTES:
It is recommended that you use a circular needles to hold all the stitches and work back and forth.

I did this shawl in the Rococo color, or tan. It is just gorgeous! I agree with others, it does take concentration on the pattern. One thing I added when it was finished was one row of single crochet along the top edge, sometimes in consecutive stitches, sometimes not, but this gave that edge some stability from stretching and curling and a more finished look. I get compliments everywhere I go!
