Lion Brand® Homespun®

12 sts and 18 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch (St st) using size 10½ (6.5mm) needles. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Cape Reviewed by Laurie Beebe on 2014-01-24 *
I can't believe this pattern is still posted. I tried it several years ago and after multiple attempts ended up just making a rectangular shawl which I use. I cannot even imagine how the one knitter got it to look like it should when 32 others didn't...I doubt we all misread the instructions!!
