Kid's Pocket Scarf
Lion Brand® Fun Fetti
GAUGE: 12 stitches + 18 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in Garter Stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF
With Main Color, cast on 12 stitches. Work in Garter Stitch until piece measures 40 inches [101.5 cm] from beginning. Bind off all stitches. POCKETS – Make 2 With Contrasting Color, cast on 8 stitches. Work in Garter Stitch until piece measures 3 inches [7.5 cm] from beginning. Bind off all stitches.FINISHING Position Pockets so bottom edges are 3 inches [7.5 cm] from short ends of Scarf. Sew side and bottom seams. Weave in ends.

| Instead of making the pocket separate, I just changed colors. Made the pocket three inches and turned it up, then sewed the sides. I did it in royal blue and white for the pocket to match my great granddaughter's coat. A fun project and works up quick.
