GAUGE:

12 sts + 15 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] (slightly stretched) in Stockinette st (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with 2 strands of yarn held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

All pieces are knit with 2 strands of yarn held together.

Note Make 1 with A, 1 with B, and 2 with C.

Using 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 22 sts.

Row 1 (RS) Knit.

Row 2 Purl.

Repeat Rows 1-2 until piece measures 6½ inches [16.5 cm], slightly stretched. Bind off. Weave in ends.

BACK

With 2 strands of A held tog, cast on 42 sts.

Row 1 (RS) Knit.

Row 2 Purl.

Repeat Rows 1-2 until piece measures 13 inches [33 cm], slightly stretched. Bind off. Weave in ends.

ASSEMBLY

Sew 1 square C to square A. Sew the other square C to square B. Sew 4 Squares together, making sure the C squares are not next to one another. With wrong sides together, sew Front to Back around 3 sides. Slip pillow form in and sew remaining side. Weave in ends.
