Tank Top and Jeans Embellishment

Lion Brand® Microspun - Fun Fur

GAUGE:

For Tank Top
19 sts + 23 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
For Jeans Trim
Not essential.

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

Seed st
Row 1 *K 1, p 1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2 P the knit sts, k the purl sts
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.

Next Row (RS) K 38 (38, 43, 43), slip next st, join separate ball of yarn and with separate ball (k next 2 sts tog) twice, * pass first of these decrease sts over 2nd *, k next 2 sts tog, repeat from * to *, k to end – 39 (39, 44, 44) sts first shoulder, 34 (34, 39, 39) sts 2nd shoulder. Tank Top and Jeans Embellishment Reviewed by darla carroll on 2009-05-08 ***
well, I made it in size large and it did not fit like the picture. It is more like a trapeze top. the deco detail down the front did not go down the middle but is instead offset to one side. I also ended up having to go down 2 sizes in order to get gauge. In spite of that I like the neck edgeing and it is still cute. I wish it did not swing out so much down at the bottom though.
