Pom-Pom Scarf
Lion Brand® Fun Fur®
GAUGE: 11 sts and 14 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] over St st (k 1 row, p 1 row) using size 13 (9mm) needles and 2 strands of yarn held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF With 2 strands of yarn held together, cast on 17 sts. Work in St st for 60"/152cm. Bind off. Make 6 pom-poms as follows: Cut a strip of cardboard 3.5"/9cm. Wrap around cardboard; the more wraps, the fuller the Pompom. Cut yarn leading to skein and slide off cardboard. Cut a long piece of yarn and double it; slide it under center of the yarn and tie with a double knot. Clip loops, fluff out Pompom, and trim. Use ends of knotted strand to attach Pompom. Make 6 attaching loops as follows: With crochet hook and yarn doubled, ch 18, leaving 6"/15.5cm tail at each end. Thread tail of one chain through blunt needle and run through center of pom-pom. Thread chain through corner of Scarf. Fasten ends together by threading each tail through opposite end of chain. Cut ends. Repeat 5 times more, attaching 3 to each end of Scarf as pictured.
