Red 'Fur' Jacket

Lion Brand® Fun Fur® - Wool-Ease® Sportweight

GAUGE:

14 sts + 15 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) using one strand A and B held together. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Also looks great in purple Reviewed by Louise Morgan on 2014-07-24 *****
I made this jacket for a winter wedding, using Fun Fur in Grape and Vanna's Glamour in Onyx. The pattern was easy to follow and the finished jacket looked great.

Here are some tips I would give to fellow knitters when you do this project:

I used a whip stitch on the seams because I needed strength on the seams and the fur yarn fluffs up to cover the seam line.

Amother thing I did was to take a large safety pin and use it to line up the sleeve caps as well as the armhole edges when I sewed the side seams. That helped a lot, until then I couldn’t gauge how I was setting the seams in due to the fur yarn covering up the edges and seams.
