Lion Brand® Fancy Fur
GAUGE: 11.5 sts + 16 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

HAT Cast on 40 sts. Work in Garter st until piece measures 10 inches [25.5 cm] from beginning.Shape Crown Row 1 *K 2, k2tog; repeat from * across – 30 sts. Row 2 *K 1, k2tog; repeat from * across – 20 sts. Rows 3-5 *K2tog; repeat from * across – 3 sts at end of Row 5. Break yarn leaving a 24 inches [61 cm] tail. Thread tail onto large-eyed, blunt needle and draw through remaining sts. Pull tight and secure; sew side seam; weave in ends.SCARF Cast on 13 sts. Work in Garter st until 18 inches [45.5 cm] of yarn remains. Bind off all sts loosely. Weave in ends.

| I love this hat & scarf pattern. It is Super Easy, Super Quick! I made it a few years ago and EVERY time I wear it I get loads of compliments. The hat & scarf are super soft and although they are feather-light they really keep me warm, without me getting overheated. AND the hat fits over any hairdo! I made the scarf a little longer because I wanted a different look.
