Scarf Ponchette
Lion Brand® Color Waves - Fun Fur®
GAUGE: 12 stitches + 20 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: This pattern works well with Lion Bouclé, Homespun, Color Waves, Fancy Fur, Wool-Ease Chunky, Landscapes, or Polarspun. Use whatever size needle gives you a gauge of 12 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm). Row gauge will determine whether you need more (more rows) or less (less rows) yarn.

| I like this pattern because it is really easy, just knitting and purling. It turned out that the fringe was very easy to do. I don't crochet, but I was able to do the single crochet stitch required with no problem. The yarn, Color Waves, used in the pattern has been discontinued; so I used Homespun yarn instead. I used different colors of yarn from those used in the pattern. I used Homespun yarn in the color 'Barrington' for the body. I had to improvise to get complimentary colors for the fringe. I did the fringe in Fun Fur yarn in 'Orchid' paired with a type of yarn similar to Fun Fur, but made by another company. It was a really deep wine color. The finished ponchette looked very cute. I am making the ponchette a second time using Homespun yarn in the color 'Windsor' and Fun Fur yarn in 'Indigo' and 'Orchid' for the fringe.
