Knit Striped Scarf
Lion Brand® Chunky USA
GAUGE: 25 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm) in ribbing. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: STITCH PATTERN 3 x 3 Ribbing Row 1 *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from *, end knit 3. Row 2 *Purl 3, knit 3, repeat from *, end purl 3. Repeat these 2 rows for pattern. |
NOTES: 1. Scarf can be made working less rows in each color. Working 30 rows of each color will make a scarf approximately 68 inches long. 2. To keep in pattern, remember that knit stitches look like a “V inches and purl stitches look like a bump. 3. Original scarf is worked in order of colors listed here.

| I love this pattern! I use 12 different colors and 36 rows of each color to make a really, really long scarf!:-) I have already made two, one for myself and one for a friend. I am in the process of making my third. It is an easy pattern but looks great when finished. It is so long that I can either wrap it around my neck twice or use it to cover my knees when I am sitting in the cold.
