Lion Brand® Chenille Thick & Quick®
8 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) on size 10.5 needle in St st (k on RS, p on WS for flat pieces, k all st in the round). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size
specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be
sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what
the designer used, but is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person.
If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller
size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Making a Gauge Swatch

Dec Rnd 1 (K 15, k2tog) 4 times. Knit 1 rnd - 64 sts.
Dec Rnd 2 (K 6, k2tog) 8 times. Knit 1 rnd56 sts.
Dec Rnd 3 (K5, k2tog) 8 times; Knit 1 rnd - 48 sts. Continue dec 8 sts every other round until 8 sts rem.
Next Rnd K2tog around until 2 sts rem. Knit 2 rnds more. Break yarn and pull through rem sts, weave in ends.
