Plush Throw
Lion Brand® Chenille Thick & Quick®
GAUGE: 9 sts = 4 inches [10 cm] on size 10 needles.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Please note ballband instructions about handling ends of this yarn. Cast on and bind off loosely. If desired use a needle two sizes larger for cast on and bind off, remembering to change back to appropriate needle size for correct gauge for working throw.
|
|
THROW: Cast on 84 sts loosely. Work in garter st (= k every row) for 4 rows (= 2 garter st ridges). Row 1 (RS): K 2 (= garter sts); k 80 sts; k 2 (= garter sts). Rep Rows 1 and 2, keeping first 2 and last 2 sts in garter st and working center 80 sts in St st until throw meas 47" from beg, end on a WS row. Work in garter st for 4 rows (= 2 garter st ridges). | I was a little surprised by the previous review. My daughter made one for herself and loved it. I made one for another daughter who loved hers and am just about to make one for my grandson in royal blue. They love the softness of the yarn.
