Child's Skirt
Lion Brand® Fancy Fur - Chenille Thick & Quick®
GAUGE: 8.5 sts and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm] over garter stitch (k every row) using size 13 [9 mm] needles and Chenille Thick & Quick.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SKIRT
With Fancy Fur (A), loosely cast on 48 (52) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Change to Chenille Thick & Quick (B) and work even in garter stitch (knit every row) until piece measures 6 (7)" [15.5 (17.5) cm] or desired length.
Bind off loosely.
Finishing:
Sew sides together to form tube. Work in all ends. |

Simple to make and my daughter loved wearing it so much she eventually wore through it.
It was a sad day for her when we had to say goodbye to it!
Although I had the yarns required as leftovers in my stash, I think this would also be nice in Homespun (perhaps doubled to get gauge) as a replacement for the chenille.
