Plain and Fancy Scarf
Lion Brand® Fancy Fur
GAUGE: 12 stitches + 16 rows = 4" (10 cm) over garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF
Cast on 3 stitches.
Row 1 (Right Side) Knit 1, yarn over (see page 76), place marker, knit 1, place marker, yarn over,
knit 1.
Row 2 Knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, slip marker, purl 1, slip marker, knit 2.
Row 3 Knit 1, yarn over, knit to the first marker, slip marker, knit 1, slip marker, knit to end of
row.
Row 4 Knit 1, yarn over, knit to the first marker, slip marker, purl 1, slip marker, knit to end of
row.
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until the center of the scarf measures 22" (56 cm) long.
Bind off all stitches loosely as if to knit.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. |
