GAUGE: 1.6 sts and 2 rows = 1 inches on size N hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Crochet Pixie Slippers Reviewed by Ann Clubb on 2008-12-11 |

| This is such a fast and easy project. I have made them for several members of my family. The first pair I made was for me, just to see if they would work and if they would be hard to walk in. They are very warm and I have been wearing mine for about 3 years. They do not slip very easily on hard surfaces and they are great to wear when you are covering up with your afghans. Other hard soled shoes and slipped always get snagged on the afghans. These are perfect and they are so quick to make. I use a contrasting color for the edging.
