GAUGE:

4 reps = 5 inches (12.75 cm) with size I hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

One- & Two-ball hooded scarves Reviewed by Jessika Hickman on 2009-08-29 *****
So far I have made two of these for my co-workers and I am working on another for a co-worker's five year old daughter. The first one I began seemed to be much shorter then the picture, so I added 100 ch to the adult scarves and have added about 35 to the child sized. A wonderfully easy pattern that works up quickly and looks great!
