GAUGE:

12 sc = 4 inches with size H hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. 1-2-3 Easy Diagonal Shawl/Scarf Reviewed by J williams on 2008-06-29 *****
I've made this scarf for my daughter several times. It comes out just like the picture. I found it easy to keep the spacing of the ribs. After the first couple of rows I just watched where the rib was to go. I varied the width to make into a shawl and narrowed the pattern to make it a scarf for cold weather. I used varigated yarn for the shawl and a speckled yard for the scarf. A great pattern!
