Girl's Hat & Boa / Scarf
Lion Brand® Velvetspun
GAUGE: 8 sc + 8 rows = 4" [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | FP Slip St (front post slip st) Working from front to back to front, insert hook around the sc post, yarn over and draw through st and loop on hook in one motion.

| Girl's Hat & Boa / Scarf Reviewed by Oksana on 2012-10-13 |
     |
| Made for a 1-yeared baby last year. My gauge was 10 sc in 10 cm. Looks beautiful. I used the advice rom one crocheter to add ears to make the hat more practical and warmer. The boa’s made by a “short programme”: I just used what had left from the skeins, so crocheted only the 1st and 2d rows ( 6ch instead of 10ch).
