Crochet Child's Bathrobe

GAUGE: 5 sc and 5 sc rows = 3 inches. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: 1. To inc: Work 2 sts into one st. 2. To dec: Pull up lp in first st, pull up lp in next st, yo hook and draw yarn through all 3 lps on hook. 3. Body is worked in one piece to underarms, then fronts and back are worked separately.

ROBE
BODY: Loosely ch 55 (59, 63). Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across -- 54 (58, 62) sc. Ch 1, turn. Cont in sc until piece measures 10" from beg. Note: Make sure that piece measures 32½ (34 ¾, 37¼)" wide.
First Front: Dividing Row: Sc across first 15 (16, 17) sts only. Ch 1, turn. Cont in sc on these sts until armhole measures 6 (6½, 7)" from dividing row. Note: Make sure that piece measures 9 (9½, 10)" wide. Fasten and end off. Back: Return to dividing row and join yarn in next st, ch 1, sc in same st and in each of next 23 (25, 27) sts -- 24 (26, 28) sts total. Work even on these 24 sts only until armholes measure same as First Front. Note: Make sure that piece measures 14 (15½, 16¾)" wide. Fasten and end off.
Second Half: Return to dividing row and join yarn in next st, ch 1, sc in same st and in each of next 14 (15, 16) sts -- 15 (16, 17) sts total. Work even on these 15 sts until armhole measures same as First Front. Note: Make sure that piece measures 9 (9½, 10)" wide. Fasten and end off.
Assembly: Sew first 8 (9, 9) sts of shoulder seams together, leaving center 8 (8, 10) sts of Back neck free and 7 (7, 8) sts at each Front neck edge free.
SLEEVES: Join yarn at underarm, ch 1, sc in each row around armhole having 20 (22, 24) sts total, join with sl st to first sc. Mark beg of row. Next Row: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc around, join with sl st to first sc. Rep last row, working in the round, dec'ing 1 st at beg and end of next row, then every 4th (3rd, 3rd) row thereafter a total of 4 (5, 5) times. Work even on 12 (12, 14) sts until Sleeve measures 10¾" from beg. Fasten and end off.
HOOD: Join yarn to beg of First Front neck, ch 1, sc in each of 7 (7, 8) free sts of Front neck, work 2 sc at shoulder seam, sc across the 8 (8, 10) free Back neck sts inc 3 (3, 2) sts evenly across for a total of 11 (11, 12) sts at Back neck, work 2 sc at other shoulder seam, sc across rem 8 (8, 10) free sts of other Front neck -- 29 (29, 32) sts total. Next Row: Ch 1, turn. Dec 2 sc tog in first 2 sts, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, dec 2 sc tog in last 2 sts -- 27 (27, 30) sts total. Work even on these sts until Hood measures 12 (12½, 13)" from beg. Fasten and end off.
Top Center Panel: Sk first 9 (9, 10) sts of Hood, join yarn in next st, ch 1, sc in same st and in each of next 8 (8, 9) sts -- 9 (9, 10) sts total. Work even on these center sts only for 9 (9, 10) rows total. Fasten and end off. Sew sides of this top center panel to each of the 9 (9, 10) free sts on either side of center panel.
FINISHING: Sc evenly around all edges of Robe.
BELT: Loosely ch 101 (104, 107). Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across -- 100 (103, 106) sts. Next Row: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc across. Fasten and end off.

| As other Poster Said, the Robe is Way too short even when the Guage is Correct, mine is Like a Cardigan, So will need to Add More Rows to Bottom aswell. i plan on making a second one in a Different Yarn (i am using Doubled up Fun fur for this One) and will see if the pattern is the same again. Nice pattern though.
