GAUGE:

20 dc=4" (10 cm); 10 rows in dc body patt = 4" (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Pearl's Cardigan Reviewed by Oksana on 2012-10-13 *****
The cardigan is very nice, looks well either with pants, or a skirt or a dress.
But I had to make some changes (crocheted size L, used wool).
Dividing for the body and sleeves I made ch 17 instead of 11 to make sleeves wider.
I didn’t like the straight shape of the cardigan because I have hips and fronts were too open so I made increasing dc along the sides from the waist(on the picture).
The stitch pattern is very stretching so for all vertical edging I made 3-dc clusters instead of 3-tr clusters.
