GAUGE:
KNIT VERSION 18 sts + 36 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row).
CROCHET VERSION
12 stitches + 14 rows = 4" (10 cm) in single crochet. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FUN FUR BAND (KNITTED VERSION)
Cast on 6 stitches. Knit every row until piece measures 12 inches or desired length. Bind off all stitches. Fluff Fur.
FUN FUR BAND (CROCHET VERSION):
Chain 6 stitches. Single crochet into 2nd chain from hook and each chain across; chain 1, turn – 5 single crochets. Continue in single crochet until piece measures 12
inches or desired length. Fluff Fur.
VISOR (KNITTED AND CROCHET VERSION)
Assembly
1. Use the stick-on foam letters to spell any name or message on the visor.
2. Use hot melt glue to secure the fun fur band at the top of the visor.
