Colorful Wheels Afghan

GAUGE:

1 pattern rep = 3” [7.5 cm] and 7 rows = 4”[10 cm] in pattern BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

Shell Dc in indicated ch-sp, (ch 2, dc in same ch-sp) 3 times.

NOTES:

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

COLOR SEQUENCE
Work 2 rows with A, *3 rows with B, 3 rows with C, 3 rows with D, 3 rows with E, 3 rows with F, 3 rows with G, 3 rows with A; rep from * for Color Sequence.

FINISHING
Edging
Round 1:
With A, rep Row 2 working shells evenly spaced around outside edge and working a shell in each corner.

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

I changed the colors up a bit, used brights and only used 4 different. Was fun to make, although I did have to pull a row or two out, it you get out of sequence (interupted by phone, kids, etc.) it is very easy to lose your place. I started marking my rows on the pattern sheet if I had to get up from it. The picture doesn't do it justice,and the yarn I used was Hometown (because it had the bright colors I wanted) so it was much thicker.
