GAUGE:

1 pattern rep = 3” [7.5 cm] and 7 rows = 4”[10 cm] in pattern When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Colorful Wheels Afghan Reviewed by Renee Melton on 2013-06-06 *****
This pattern was very easy and fun to make! Once I got through the first 7 rows I had the hang of it and could proceed without even referencing the pattern. I made it as a graduation gift, so to save on cost I used worsted weight yarn instead of Homespun, but I think it came out great and it didn't affect the size of the project.
