4.25 sts and 2 rows = 1 inches on Size J-10 hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. 1960's Crochet 'Hippie' Vest Reviewed by linda nelson on 2009-06-05 *
I was extremely disappointed with this pattern. I've been crocheting for fourteen years and not only is the guage for this pattern waaaay off, but construction recommendations for armhole construction are just plain sloppy.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I wouldn't recommend this pattern to anyone.
