Barefoot Sandal Reviewed by Koffeewitch on 2009-09-03 ****
To give some added flair, it's easy to string some anklet bells, gold coins, chinese coins, conch shells or pretty beads onto the yarn (depending on the look you're aiming for)then crochet them onto the ankle strap part of the sandal. I was very pleased with the ebony microspun/silver anklet bell combo I made with stuff from my stash. I did alter the pattern to make the ankle strap longer for a more loose and comfortable fit. Once the strap fit comfortably around my ankle, I sort of "eye-balled it" when it was time to start working the mesh part of the pattern by looking at the photograph.
Overall, a very cute project perfect for those "instant gratification" moods.
