GAUGE:

10 half double crochets + 8 rows = 4 inches [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

WRAP
Chain 19.

Row 1 Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across; turn – 18 stitches.

Row 2 Chain 2, half double crochet in each stitch across; turn.

Repeat Row 2 until Wrap measures 44" [112 cm] from beginning. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

FINISHING
Without twisting Wrap, using large-eyed, blunt needle and tail, sew last row to foundation chain, matching stitches. Weave in ends.
