Santa Claus Scarf

GAUGE:

14 sc + 13 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) with MC. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF

With MC, ch 21 (25). Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 20 (24) sts. Work even in sc until Scarf measures 40 (51) inches from beginning. Fasten off.

FUR TRIM

At short end of Scarf, attach CC with ch 3. Work 19 (23) more dc across row – 20 (24) sts. Work 5 more rows dc with CC. Fasten off. Repeat at opposite end of Scarf. Weave in ends.
