Lion Brand® Jiffy®
12 stitches = 4" (10 cm) in Pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size
specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be
sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what
the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person.
If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller
size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Second Side Skip center 18 sts for neck, join yarn with slip st in next st, begin with pattern Row 2, work second side – 51 sts for 6" to correspond to first side, ending with pattern Row 3. Fasten off.
Neck Joining Row With RS facing and continuing in pattern, work across first side, ch 18 for neck, then work across second side. Continue in pattern across 120 sts for 17 ½" more. Fasten off.
With RS facing, join yarn in any corner with a slip st, then work 104 sc evenly along each side working 3 sc in each corner. Work in sc for 4", working through back loop of each st every round and working 3 sc in each corner. Fasten off. Neck Edging
With RS facing, join yarn with a slip st in any corner and work 64 sc evenly spaced around neck edge. Work in sc, working through back loop of each st on every round, dec 4 sts evenly spaced on next round, then 4 sts every other round twice, then 4 sts every round twice – 44 sts remain. Work even in sc for 6 more rounds, working through back loop of each st on every round. Fasten off.
