GAUGE:

4 V-sts + 5 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in V-st pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

V-Stitch (Dc, ch 1, dc) in same stitch.

NOTES:

'Little Victory' Blanket Reviewed by Elaine Wirt on 2010-01-29 *****
I have made several baby blankets using Lion Brand patterns but this is definitely my favorite. It works up quick and easy and it looks great. I have not only used Homespun baby but also Homespun pastels, Jiffy pastels and and 2 strands of worsted yarns like Vanna's Choice Baby. All have come out fine. Since the pattern is a simple 3+1 count it is also easy to adjust the pattern to any size for a lap robe or a full size afghan. "Little Victory" will remain in my pattern collection for years to come.
