GAUGE:
11 sts + 8 rows = 4” [10 cm] in sc, ch 1 pattern on larger hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Shrug is crocheted in one piece beginning at lower edge. Cuffs are crocheted separately and sewn on after shrug is completed.

I made this in Lion Brand Homespun yarn Rominesque. The pattern was easy to follow and quick to make, but I didn't like the finished look. It just wasn't what I wanted, but it is a good pattern.
