GAUGE: 12 sts = 4 inches [10 cm] in single crochet
Afghan is made
from four separate squares
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

AFGHAN
Ch 19. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 18 sts. Row 1 Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Repeat Row 1 until piece measures 6 inches. Fasten off. | ASSEMBLY Sew together invisibly as per assembly diagram: | | To join two pieces together, thread a large-eyed blunt needle with B. Place the edges of the squares side by side with the right sides (the sides that people will see) FACING OUT.
