Flowered Cloche

Lion Brand® Homespun® - Lion® Bouclé

GAUGE:

10 sc= 4 in [10 cm] using smaller hook and Homespun.

Note: This hat is worked spirally; do not join at the end of rnds. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Flowered Cloche Reviewed by Patricia Burden on 2014-01-25 *****
I made this hat with a dark red soft bulky yarn. I used a size K hook for the body and since the next size hook I had was an N, I used that for the brim part. I am not a flowery hat kind of person, so I ended the hat a little short, added a row of single crochet in cream and also in cream, a simple scalloped edging (sc, *skip stitch, 4 dc in next stitch, skip stitch, sc* - repeat from * around. The original pattern for the trim called for 5 dc, but I thought that was too bulky. It came out lovely. If I get a chance, I will post a photo.
