Lamb Pillow: Body: With one strand of Lamb color A, ch 32. Row 1: Dc into fourth ch from hook and each ch to the end of row (30 sts). Turn. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc) dc into second dc and each dc across. Rep Row 2 until you have 24 inches. Finish off.
Face: Using two strands held tog, one each of A and B, ch 32. Row 1: Dc into fourth ch from hook, and each ch across (30 sts). Turn. Row 2: DecBR, dc in next st and in each dc up to last 2, DecER [28 sts]. Turn. Rep Row 2 until 12 sts remain. Cut yarn and pull end through loop to finish off.
Ears (Make 2): Using two strands held tog of A and B, ch 10. Row 1: Dc into fourth ch from hook and each ch across (8 sts). Turn. Row 2: Ch 3, dc into second dc and each dc across. Turn. Rep Row 2 until you have 6 rows. Row 7: DecBR, dc in next st and in each dc up to last 2, DecER [6 sts]. Rep Row 7 until 2 sts remain. Finish off. Assembly for Lamb: Using a double strand of A (Deco for Lamb, Rococo for Lion) and working from the wrong-side, sew Face to the Body. Center and sew the long side edge Face onto the center of the long side edge of Body (see diagram). Fold in half and sew tog the bottom of the Face and the remaining edge of the same side of the Body. Sew the other side of the Body tog, leaving the bottom edge open. Turn right-side out. Insert stuffing into Face and the pillow form into Body. Sew the bottom opening of the pillow. Sew ears to body as pictured: For Lamb: Bend first and last sts of Ear under and sew to Body in this position. Hair for Lamb : Attach two strands (one each of A and B for the Lamb; one each of A or B and C for Lion) to Body. Using your crochet hook, pull up a loop 1 - 2" long under and through dc sts, making sure to catch both strands of yarn; remove hook. Using your finger to maintain the size of the first loop, insert hook into next st and through first loop. Pull up another loop, drawing it tightly through first loop to anchor. Cont drawing up loops until Body of Lamb are as full as you like. Alternate Hair Method: If you prefer, you may make the hair as fringe: For Lamb: Holding one strand each of A and B tog, wrap yarn twice around a piece of cardboard the length you want the hair to be. Cut ends attached to ball/skein but not bottom of fringe. Holding top of fringe tog, slide yarn off cardboard. Using fingers or crochet hook, reach through dc from back to front of Body and pull top of fringe through. Pull bottom of fringe through this loop. Rep until Body is covered.
